Privacy Policy

In short: we keep what we need to run your account and your papers: your name, email, a scrambled form of your password, your papers and your answers. Your answers go to our AI provider for grading, without your name or email. Payments are handled by Paddle; we never see your card. No ads, no tracking, and we don't sell your data.

Who is responsible for your data

Toppers Education Centre Private Limited (company number 796688), San Antonius, 1 Laurence Avenue, Maynooth, W23 R6P1, Ireland, runs PyTestHub and is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: amitsharma205@zohomail.com.

What we collect

Your account: name, email address, and your password stored only as a secure one-way hash (Argon2), which we can't turn back into your password. Whether you've confirmed your email.
Your papers and results: the subject, topic and difficulty you choose, the papers generated for you, your answers, grades and feedback.
Your plan: which plan you're on, how many papers you've used this month, and, if you subscribe, the subscription and customer IDs Paddle gives us and the subscription's status and dates. We never receive your card details.
Taking a paper without an account: the name you type, your answers and results.
Technical data: our web server's standard logs (IP address, time, the page requested), kept for about two weeks, to keep the service secure and working.

Why we use it

To provide the service you signed up for: your account, generating and grading papers, your plan and allowance, and the emails that confirm your address or reset your password. (Legal basis: performing our contract with you.)
To keep PyTestHub secure and fair, for example spotting abuse of the free allowance. (Legal basis: our legitimate interests.)
To meet legal obligations, such as tax records kept by Paddle.

We don't use your data for advertising, we don't sell it, and we don't use analytics or tracking cookies.

Who we share it with

Anthropic (the Claude AI model) receives the topic and questions of a paper and your answers, to write and grade papers. It doesn't receive your name or email. Anthropic's privacy policy.
Paddle, our reseller and Merchant of Record, handles checkout, payments, tax and receipts. For payments Paddle is responsible for your data in its own right. Paddle's privacy policy.
Resend sends our account emails, so it receives your name and email address. Resend's privacy policy.
DigitalOcean hosts the site and its backups on servers in London, UK.
Authorities, if the law requires it.

Some of these providers are in the United States. Where your data leaves the UK or the European Economic Area, it's protected by the provider's safeguards, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Your account, papers and results: until you delete your account.
Web server logs: about two weeks.
Backups: overwritten within about a month, so deleted data disappears from them within that time.
Payment records: Paddle keeps them for as long as tax law requires.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it (this closes your account), to have it in a portable format, or to object to how we use it. Email amitsharma205@zohomail.com from the address on your account and we'll reply within one month. If you're unhappy with our answer, you can complain to your data protection authority, for example the Data Protection Commission in Ireland or the ICO in the UK.

Cookies and local storage

We don't set advertising or analytics cookies. When you log in, your session is kept in your browser's local storage so you stay logged in; logging out removes it. If you buy a plan, Paddle's checkout may set its own cookies to process the payment securely.

Children

PyTestHub isn't meant for children under 16 without a parent's or guardian's permission. If you think a child has given us data without permission, contact us and we'll delete it.

Security

The site is served only over HTTPS, passwords are stored as Argon2 hashes, email links expire and work only once, and access to the servers is limited to us.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell you by email or on the site before it takes effect.
